Willow Glen Stud | South Canterbury

Welcome To Willow Glen Stud

Willow Glen Stud is a 600 acre prime thoroughbred horse property located at Waimate in South Canterbury.

Operated by highly experienced equine specialists Mike and Barbara Cooney.

The stud provides an idyllic quiet environment for horses and is a great place for young equine athletes to grow and develop.

All of the mares are individually handled and receive completely professional treatment at all times. Foaling alarms are used on the broodmares and of course the farm’s staff are on call 24 hours a day to make sure that everything is handled professionally.

We are fortunate to have the best in veterinary care available at all times through the services of Dougall Mclachlan of Veterinary Centre Waimate.

We are proud of our stallions and know that they offer breeders an extremely good choice for their broodmares. The stallions are situated near the mares which assists in the operation of the farm.

We welcome your inquiries.

Please don’t hesitate to call
